CNN article The NFL will televise the first regular-season game of the 2018 season, the NFL Network announced Thursday.
The network will broadcast games on Sunday, Oct. 5 at 1 p.m.
The first game of NFL regular-game programming will be the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys in a preseason game at Lincoln Financial Field.
The games will be broadcast in both the U.S. and Canada.
In a statement, NFL President Mark Dominik said, “I am very proud of the NFL’s continued commitment to the Game of Football, the highest level of competition in sports and the highest levels of fan engagement in the world.”
The NFL Network said the games will feature four teams in each conference: Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints.
